Objectives, scope and target audience

Our Objectives

JIRECS sets itself the following objectives:

 

1. Promoting Scientific Excellence

Provide a rigorous platform for the publication of high-quality research, peer-reviewed by internationally recognized experts, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge in our fields of interest.

2. Promoting Innovation in the Service of Sustainability

Highlight research that offers innovative, practical, and replicable solutions to the pressing challenges of energy transition, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.

3. Fostering Interdisciplinary Dialogue

Encourage interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches by creating a space of convergence between exact sciences, engineering sciences, social sciences, and economic sciences in support of the ecological transition.

4. Amplifying African Perspectives in a Global Context

Promote contributions from African research while maintaining a firmly international dimension, thereby creating a balanced dialogue between local knowledge and global expertise for contextualized and universal solutions.

5. Accelerating Knowledge Transfer

Facilitate the rapid dissemination of research findings to policymakers, development practitioners, entrepreneurs, and field actors in order to maximize the societal impact of science.

6. Contributing to the 2030 Agenda

Actively support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Our Vision

To become the leading francophone and international journal for research on sustainable innovation, renewable energy, and climate solutions, particularly for Africa and countries of the Global South.

JIRECS aims to serve as:
