Assessment Process

Peer review helps editors make decisions and assists authors in improving their manuscripts.

Double-Blind Peer Review

JIRECS applies a double-blind peer-review process. The editorial team ensures that reviewers remain anonymous to authors and that authors remain anonymous to reviewers until the end of the evaluation process.

Role of Reviewers

Reviewers are responsible for providing written, competent, and impartial comments on the scientific merits of the manuscript. In addition, they assess compliance with the journal’s scope, relevance, originality, and style, and inform the Editor-in-Chief of any suspected breach of ethical standards or parallel submission. Reviewers must therefore have no conflicts of interest with the research or the authors.

Reviewer Selection Criteria

  • Must have expertise in the subject area
  • Must not belong to the author’s institution
  • Must not have recently co-authored publications with the author

Important note: In the event of disagreement between reviewers (accept/reject), additional reviewers may be appointed.

Our Commitment

The editorial team commits to informing authors of the initial decision within a three (3) month period from the date of submission.
